Inclusivity and Diversity

The Project will strengthen educational inclusivity by expanding access to mental health education for deaf individuals. Currently, the lack of sign language-based mental health training negatively impacts the psychological resilience of the deaf community. Since existing programs primarily rely on spoken and written language, they remain inaccessible to deaf learners. SignWell Academy will bridge this gap by offering sign language-based educational materials and digital learning content, allowing deaf individuals to develop PL and access professional support more easily. The Project will also make healthcare services more inclusive for deaf individuals by training mental health professionals in sign language awareness.

Digital Transformation

The Project will provide digital tools to create an accessible and innovative educational model for deaf individuals. As traditional education methods are inadequate for hearing impaired individuals, digital solutions play a critical role in bridging this gap. SignWell Academy will provide interactive sign language videos, accessible e-learning program and online educational materials to enable self-paced learning for deaf individuals. Furthermore, the E-Learning Materials for mental health professionals and educators will enhance their digital skills and awareness of accessibility, aligning the project with Erasmus+ digital transformation priorities.

Environmental Sustainability and Green Practices

To align with environmental sustainability principles, the project will transition educational processes to a digital format by reducing its carbon footprint. By replacing printed materials with digital resources, the project will minimize paper consumption and establish an eco-friendly educational model.

Democratic Participation, Common Values and Civic Engagement

The project will empower deaf individuals to strengthen their psychological resilience and become more active participants in society. Increased awareness of mental health will enable individuals to express themselves more effectively, understand their rights and take on more active roles in their communities. SignWell Academy will raise awareness about mental health rights within the deaf community and improve access to psychological support services. Additionally, PL Training Program for mental health professionals will ensure deaf individuals receive high-quality psychological support and strengthen democratic participation through better access to education and healthcare services.
